Cynthia Curry is Vice President for Human Resources and Campus/Community Relations. Curry is a1973 alumna of Fairmont State College who graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology. She later earned an M.A. in English and American Language/Literature from Ohio University. Prior to her appointment at FSU, Curry filled the role of Director, Classification and Compensation at West Virginia University where she began employment in August 2001.
During her career as a human resources professional, Curry has been awarded the National Association of Counties (NACo) national achievement award for development and implementation of a general government and schools unified pay system. She is a member in good standing of the Society for Human Resource Management and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, as well as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification from WorldatWork.
